This year
the Business Directory is high-tech and data-driven, i.e. all the information
is stored in our database and handled virtually. Users are invited to
search by business name or keywords relating to the type of business
they are looking for. For example, someone may be looking for Elaine's
but are not sure of the address or telephone number. So they could type
in "Elaine's" and that would find what they are looking for.
Alternatively, a visitor could be looking for a tearoom, and so could
type in "tearoom", "cafe" or "food" and
find a list of all business in Llantwit Major that match that criteria.
Notes
1.
The first pointer to bare in mind is that businesses within
the local area are offered advertising, but those based in Llantwit
Major are offered priority listings. This is determined by the area
code and first 2 digits of the company telephone number, which must
be 01446 79 in order to be classed as a Llantwit Major
business.
2.
Business are listed in order of advert type, and alphabetical order.
Therefore all paid adverts (as seen below) will be displayed at the
top of the page. If there are more than 1 paid advert, the listings
will be arranged in alphabetical order.
3.
Business outside Llantwit Major are listed in a similar fashion, although
their details will be displayed underneath the Llantwit Major business
with a note informing users that they are based outside Llantwit Major.
4.
Businesses opting for the priority listing (shown below) are invited
to upload a photograph or company logo, inclusive of the annual fee.

VAT) for each are shown in (brackets) and are due annually.

Ordering
In order
to make this as easy to use as possible, we have provided a facility
to allow you to enter your details directly into the database. We will
check all details before authorising them to be listed in the site,
and invoice you in due course.
